Kerry Sherck worked as a photojournalist in southern Connecticut for six years at the Connecticut Post and The Advocate.
 
She has received awards and recognition from the New England Press Association, the Connecticut Society of Professional Journalists, the New England Associated Press News Executives Association and the Deadline Club of New York.
 
Sherck studied photography at the Crealde School of Art in Winter Park, Florida, and at L'Ecole de Photographie de Toulouse, in Toulouse, France. She has lived in France and Mexico and is fluent in French and Spanish.
